A tiny Christmas TIP

Hey Friends, I just want to give you a little Christmas tip. And you may or may not know in CR, most of our lessons are built around an acrostic. So the acrostic this Christmas is TIP. Here’s my Christmas TIP. Pay attention to the small stuff. The T stands for tiny. The bible says “Do not despise this small beginning, for the eyes of the Lord rejoice to see the work begin,”,,,Zec 4:10. You could say the biggest event in all of history started with a very small seemingly insignificant beginning, the birth of a baby to a young couple in a small town many years ago. That tiny beginning has and is continuing to change the entire world one small life at a time. So please do not discount the hugs, the kisses, the sharing the laughter the small gestures of love this Christmas or anytime for that matter. God himself comes on the scene in small ways and then all the earth can rejoice. The I stands for Imagine. How absolutely incredible it is to know that the living God sent his only Son so that whosoever would believe in Him would have everlasting life. The angel proclaimed, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy. It is for all people. A savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord. Glory to God in the highest peace goodwill toward men.” Lk 2:10-14.Imagine that. It’s true! The P stands for Plan. God has had a plan for you since before the foundation of the world. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jer 29:11 God’s plans are so much better than our plans. We may think we are small and insignificant in the big picture, in the eternal scheme of things. But God doesn’t think that way. Because His plan is that you and I are to carry the message of the Christ to the world. That is no small thing. “Christ in you the hope of glory.” The hope of eternity with God. A TIP is just a small thing but with God it can make a huge difference. Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas! Celebrate Recovery Believers Church Jim & Pam
