I believe a critical aspect of our recovery is remembering that our identity is in Jesus Christ and what He says about us. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is not just another ‘recovery program’ where our issue is tagged to our personal introduction and becomes melded to our identity for the rest of our lives. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Higher Power, Lord & Savior, He redeems and grows us through and past the issues that have bound us. It is a type of freedom and healing, prior to Jesus, we cannot possibly know.
With this in mind I wanted to pass along a powerful Podcast series on finding your identity in Christ. I believe it is important to read and be taught by many wise Godly teachers & counselors. This pastor is one of my favorites. who-do-you-think-you-are
